On Friday 28th September 2018, IT3000 employees in Leicester helped to raise over £200.00, by supporting The World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The first ever Macmillan coffee morning was back in 1990 and since then the Macmillan coffee mornings have raised over £200 million to help support people facing cancer. For more information on why Macmillan run ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ please visit https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/about/why/.
Based on the success of our 2017 coffee morning we decided to invite customers from our local area to join us for a catch up over a cup of coffee and a homemade cake and to help raise vital funds for people facing cancer.
All of the cakes were baked by talented IT3000 employees and were enjoyed by staff, customers and neighbouring companies.
Kathy Ward, IT3000, who helped to organise the day says: “I would like to thank our customers for taking the time to join our event and our employees for providing some truly delicious baked goods. We hope that our donation will contribute towards Macmillan’s amazing work, providing focused support to those living with cancer”
We are already looking forward to our 2019 event where we hope to produce even more delicious treats and beat this year’s exceptional total of £210.00.
